The ferry Purkarec

TRANSPORT OPERATION IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
The ferry is in operation from May 1 to October 30 (depending on the weather)

Opening hours:
May
- Monday to Friday transportation based on prior agreement at least one day in advance
- Saturdays and Sundays + holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
June
- from 1. to 14.6. Monday to Friday transportation based on prior agreement at least one day in advance
- Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
- from 15.6. until 30.6. operation every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
July and August
- operation every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
September
- from 1 to 15.9. operation every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
- from 16 to 30.9. transportation based on prior agreement at least one day in advance
- Saturdays and Sundays + holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
October
- Monday to Friday transportation based on prior agreement at least one day in advance
- Saturdays and Sundays + holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

Departure times every full hour on call.
New transport to Karlův Hrádek and to the via ferrata (A,B,C) by prior arrangement.
Reservations for individuals can be made at any time within the operating hours of the ferry on the telephone number +420 602 834 708.
Group orders must be made 1 day in advance. Earlier or later times to order the day before or by appointment. However, no later than dusk.

Fare prices are contractual and may change during the season:

transportation Purkarec - Kostelec: transport time up to 10 min
persons up to 3 years free of charge
from 3 to 12 years 30, - / pers.
from 12 years 50, - / pers

transport between Purkarec - Karlův hrádek: transport time up to approx. 20 min
up to 3 years free
from 3 to 12 years 50, - / person.

the minimum amount for transport from or to Karlův Hrádek or via ferrata is CZK 500 (if you want to transport there and back, then it is CZK 1000)

The cruise of persons under 15 years without adult supervision is prohibited.

 

The ferry departs / arrives only at the boarding piers, which are located:

Purkarec - left bank of the Vltava River - under the object of the pension U Anděla Purkarec - permanent berth from which the ferry departs (or public Purkarec marina under ideal sailing conditions)

right bank of the Vltava - a small pier next to the campsite, from where the road leads to Kostelec. Those interested in the Kostelecká party will wait visibly at the boarding pier at the time of the agreed transport.
 

The maximum number of persons on board shall not exceed the maximum authorized vessel's capacity under the ship's certificate. Ferry capacity: ferryman + max. 12 persons, or 5 persons + 5 bicycles, max. Load capacity 900 kg. The number of persons and wheels is determined by the boatman at his discretion.

The ferry boat transports only pedestrians and cyclists who use their own equipment.

The ship is not wheelchair accessible.

The transport of animals is only possible after the safety precautions have been followed and with the boatman. In the event that more people with animals meet, a muzzle may be required.

Operation or departure time can be canceled if: the boatman recognizes the voyage conditions as inappropriate or dangerous, eg increased flow, strong wind, adverse weather conditions, etc.
